Senior Marketing Manager (6 Month FTC) - London or Birmingham - £65-100k Pro-rata

Are you a Senior Marketing Manager with experience working in Financial Services? If yes, this is just the role for you. You’ll be joining one of the globe’s leading names in Banking, looking after campaigns for their Lending’s and Savings department.

As Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping those that develop customer level propositions, take inputs from all that marketing has to offer - from customer insight, customer planning, brand and marketing strategy; maximising the opportunities across our customer journeys and all the channels they service their customers through.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this Senior Marketing Manager will include:

  • You will work with Product leads to develop marketing strategies, whilst taking input from customer insight to deliver our understanding of customer mindsets and behaviours and deliver to the brand strategy. You will help develop an engaging, challenging and customer centric marketing plan from inception to marketing delivery accountable to the product team on delivery.
  • Work closely with our insights team to develop regular and relevant insights which enhance, ensuring our propositional ideas are tested, getting an understanding of what really matters to customers.
  • You will critically evaluate our products through development to ensure that everything we do ladders back to our overall retail and wealth marketing strategy.
  • Engage necessary stakeholders in these products, to gain buy-in and support and, where required, approval.
  • Own the handover and brief of our products to the relevant campaign team, bringing to life the insight and customer mindset in a sharp and punchy way to ensure our creative development is well informed. You’ll be involved in responses to that brief to ensure that all of our resulting campaigns deliver against the objectives and KPIs we set out through the planning process.
  • Be able to summarise product marketing strategy in a way that gets our key stakeholders across the business excited about our plans.

As Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll also have/be the following:

  • A balance of commercial and customer focus and ability to make balanced decisions in line with relevant customer and commercial strategies and principles.
  • The ability to take things from strategic thought through to briefing and implementation.
  • Someone who can balance analytical, strategic, and pragmatic thinking; whilst pushing boundaries bringing innovative ideas to the plan.
  • A great influencer; building relationships, inspiring and gaining trust at all levels and across all functions.
  • A passion and deep understanding for our products and our brand, and an excitement for the opportunities and challenges as we change the way our customers experience our business
  • Strong resilience, balancing multiple priorities, and spotting risks.
  • Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Financial Services or market leading brand is desirable
  • Strong marketing experience, including knowledge of marketing principles and segmentation techniques
  • Experience of managing £m budgets on an ongoing basis
  • Capable team member and participant, able to solve problems individually or in groups and committed to personal development Commercial awareness and understanding of product profitability dynamics
  • Ability to work within and adapt to an environment which experiences significant change
  • Excellent project management skills are essential
