Senior Marketing Planning Manager - 6 Month FTC - London OR Birmingham - Up to £100k Pro-rata

We’re on the hunt for a vastly experienced Senior Marketing Planning Manager to join forces with the leading name in Financial Services.

As Senior Marketing Planning Manager, you’ll ultimately be responsible for overlooking the entire Planning function as well as collaboration of customer insight, customer planning, brand and marketing strategy teams; maximising the opportunities across customer journeys and all the channels they service their customers through.

The other day-today responsibilities of this Senior Marketing Planning Manager include:

  • Work closely with the business teams on priorities, developing a plan that aligns to and drives these objectives

• Provide a clear framework, timetable and process for planning, both annually and part of the on-going analysis of the plan

• Provide an aggregated view of all Marketing activities across Retail & Wealth

• Lead the completion of content for the plan, including the development of strategic Marketing objectives, measurement and reporting strategies and the setting of key Marketing metrics for evaluation across the business line

• Ensure the plan is optimised, driving maximum value from all Marketing spend through effective forward integrated planning across channels, media and activities

• Make recommendations on opportunities to increase ROI and prepare/publish inputs to support these proposals

• Develop, maintain and embed the planning and process frameworks across Marketing

• Co-ordinate all Marketing effectiveness measurement reporting and MI for Retail & Wealth Marketing

• Identify and develop a set of consistent effectiveness measures that the Marketing team will be asked to measure and report on

As Senior Marketing Planning Manager, you’ll also have/be the following:

  • A balance of commercial and customer focus and ability to make balanced decisions in line with relevant customer and commercial strategies and principles.
  • The ability to take things from strategic thought through to briefing and implementation.
  • Someone who can balance analytical, strategic, and pragmatic thinking; whilst pushing boundaries bringing innovative ideas to the plan.
  • A great influencer; building relationships, inspiring and gaining trust at all levels and across all functions.
  • A passion and deep understanding for our products and our brand, and an excitement for the opportunities and challenges as we change the way our customers experience our business
  • Strong resilience, balancing multiple priorities, and spotting risks.
  • Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Financial Services or market leading brand is desirable
  • Strong marketing experience, including knowledge of marketing principles and segmentation techniques
  • Experience of managing £m budgets on an ongoing basis
  • Capable team member and participant, able to solve problems individually or in groups and committed to personal development Commercial awareness and understanding of product profitability dynamics
