NEWLY created Senior Revenue Manager role now available at a global law firm to oversee the firms EMEA operations.

This new role will report directly to the EMEA CFO and will play a crucial part in shaping and refining the working capital function for the firm, working with billing and collections teams across various jurisdictions and central service centres.

This role would suit someone who has significant experience in head of/senior leadership roles within a global law firms Working Capital/Revenue Control function.

This position will have no direct reports and won't be involved in any of the day to day revenue control activities, but will have an overarching view of the operational aspects of this large function to ensure efficiencies and consistency across all office locations.

Please note - only law firm profiles will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for revenue teams across EMEA (approx. 90 staff).
  • Develop relationships with central service centres; set KPIs and objectives for collections.
  • Foster an EMEA team ethos and ensure best practices in systems and processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in revenue management processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team for consistent financial reporting.
  • Introduce and manage new lock-up methodologies.
  • Focus on reducing WIP days, debtor days, and overall working capital levels.
  • Set and monitor billing, collections, and lock-up targets.
  • Review realisation levels and address leakage issues.
  • Oversee time recording compliance and recommend actions.
  • Assist with annual rates review and budget processes.
  • Work with the Strategy and Analytics team on rates guidance and implementation.
  • Improve matter setup and rate setting with the e-billing team.
  • Lead and assist with ad hoc projects, including payment terms and WIP/AR write-off policies.

Technical Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Understanding of working capital in a law firm and its impact on profitability.
  • Proactive, client-centric, and focused on operational excellence.
  • Strong managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Significant technical skills in Working Capital Management Cycle.
  • SAP experience is beneficial; strong legal systems and reporting experience required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
