If the prospect of working in a newly created global role offering high-visibility, the chance to play a key role in shaping firmwide financial policies across EMEA and the opportunity to mould and refine your responsibilities over time excites you, then you should read on.Working closely with the CFO in London, you’ll be developing and standardising best practices for revenue management across EMEA (approx.. 90 staff) for one of the largest law firms in the world.Whilst the position offers variety, one of its primary objectives will be to establish functional leadership in the working capital space for the EMEA offices and provide guidance to and work closely with the local billing and collections management teams.You’ll be leading on the development of working relationships, agreeing KPIs and objectives and ensuring global collaboration towards a set of shared goals.Along with building a team ethos and regularly meeting with the EMEA team to drive continuous improvement and enhance revenue management processes and systems.Consistent financial reporting and new lock-up methodology will be a primary operational focus to help reduce WIP and debtor days and the overall level of working capital.Other duties include identifying leakage, reviewing time recording, annual rates reviews, rates guidance, assisting with new process design, along with various ad hoc projects such as review of payment terms and WIP & AR policies.To be considered, you’ll need extensive legal experience and have a clear understanding of working capital in a law firm and its impact on profitability. Along with a proactive, client-centric focus on operational excellence and improvement.You’ll be a problem-solver and comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders. Exhibit strong managerial skills and have the ability to motivate and develop members of your team.
