About the Company:I am recruiting for a leading transport company, operating within the rail sector, committed to providing excellent customer service and maximizing revenue through strategic management. The Role:This is a key leadership position responsible for managing a team of analysts to drive revenue across services. As the Revenue Management Lead, you will ensure that the company meets and exceeds revenue targets while maintaining customer satisfaction and managing overcrowding. You will work closely across commercial functions, developing and delivering customer-centric commercial plans and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize revenue across routes by developing and managing revenue management strategies and analysis of data.
  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts to communicate performance and deliver key insights to the wider business.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams (pricing, commercial, timetable) and external partners to support decision-making and system optimization.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Customer Experience teams to ensure a holistic, data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Work with data suppliers to ensure your team has the right tools and systems in place to optimize performance and reduce manual interventions.
  • Support business cases and timetable amendments to meet revenue targets.
  • Lead initiatives to accelerate the return to travel post-pandemic, aligning with the company's wider commercial plans.

Key Relationships and Interfaces:

  • Internal: Revenue management team, commercial colleagues (marketing, sales, distribution), customer experience, and operational peers.
  • External: Data suppliers, local authorities, and other industry partners.

Person Specification:Knowledge:

  • Strong commercial knowledge within the transport sector.
  • Expert knowledge of revenue management systems and strategies, particularly in market segmentation and pricing structures.Skills:
  • Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator, able to explain complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and leadership abilities.
  • Resilient with a drive to achieve results and meet revenue targets.Experience:
  • Proven experience in a revenue management role, delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Previous management, coaching, or mentoring experience would be beneficial.Qualifications:
  • A numerical-based degree or equivalent experience.
