As the Chief Operating Officer of a Private Equity backed Zero Carbon Sustainability Consulting business you will be instrumental in shaping the organisation's strategic direction and driving operational excellence. Partnering closely with the CEO and the board, you will lead the execution of global initiatives, streamline operations, and foster sustainable growth across the business.

As a trusted advisor to the executive team, you will ensure seamless alignment between strategic priorities and organisational execution, serving as a key liaison between leadership and the broader organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a passion and track record taking a business through significant growth within ESG, Sustainability Real Estate, Net Zero Carbon, Real Estate decarbonisation or Sustainability Consulting, owning the Operational Strategic agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As trusted advisor of CEO, managing country-level Managing Directors, the Finance Director, the HR Director, IT and financial operations functions
  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross-country projects and initiatives, ensuring timely execution and adherence to company standards
  • Identify operational improvement initiatives to build value creation plan and accelerate revenue growth
  • Make significant impact on profitability including project margins, pricing, utilisation and pipeline conversion
  • Facilitate effective communication across business units and countries to promote collaboration and teamwork, and a healthy work culture
  • Lead and manage strategic projects across operational improvement and efficiency, cost optimisation, Go-to-market strategy and strategic acquisition agenda
  • Proven capability in leading projects and designing project plans, time-lines, and budgets
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between the executive leadership including C-level suite, staff, board members, clients, and partners
  • Create and roll-out a playbook for driving best practice, operational excellence and process standardisation

Skills required:

  • Currently a Chief Operating Officer, Head/Director of Operations and Strategy
  • Experience and passion for sustainability, real estate sustainability, ESG, Net Zero, decarbonisation or energy transition
  • Track record in advisory consulting, BIG4, MBB, private equity, sustainability consulting
  • Effectiveness in developing project management governance, frameworks, tools and methodologies and leading strategic operational projects
  • People leader of global heads, senior management including finance, HR, technology and innovation
  • Proven track record in driving investment and growth agenda by increasing revenue, profitability and EBITDA through organic and acquisition development
  • MBA, desired, OR Bachelor's in business administration, Management or Advanced Degree required
  • You will be entrepreneurial, people leader who is who is looking to step up and transform, grow and improve an environmentally impactful sustainability consultancy.
