THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading British prestigious arts organisation renowned across the globe, specialising in outstanding performances of traditional music and dance.  

THE ROLE

As Deputy Chief Development Officer, you will help to oversee the entire development function for the organisation, devising and implementing a comprehensive long-term strategy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Chief of Staff to develop strategies covering all income streams within the Development Department in order to meet annual targets
  • Work collaboratively across the entire organisation to successfully implement development strategies
  • Keep track of progress made by all functions with the development team, including Patrons, Legacies, Appeals and Research, Membership and more
  • Look after a portfolio of high-value fundraising opportunities, expanding this where possible
  • Oversee, mentor and motivate a talented team working across a diverse range of income streams, coaching a number of senior-level direct reports
  • Advise at Executive and Board level on new and existing strategies that target prospective supporters and manage key relationships
  • Develop comprehensive analysis in order to support strategic financial plans
  • Ensure all developmental operations comply with risk management processes and corporate governance
  • Demonstrate leadership within the organisation, delivering to individual objectives and supporting others to do the same
  • Act as a true ambassador for the organisation in everything you do as Deputy Chief Development Officer, championing the impressive and wide-ranging work that they do
