An established, renowned Education Trust is looking for a part-time ongoing temporary Governance Officer to work three days a week in the office on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am - 5:30pm.
Based near Charing Cross, this role is to start on Tuesday 18th March on an ongoing basis.
As Governance Officer, duties will include:
- Preparing papers for Sub-Committees Organising meeting dates for Sub-Committees and the Trust Board
- Attending meetings to take and produce accurate minutes
- Liaising with local academy councils and clerks regarding queries
- Dealing with applications for new councillors
- Sending papers to trustees and committee members
- Liaising with schools and trustees to organise appeal panels
- Adhering to policy schedule to ensure new policies are completed and included in Committee and Board packs
- Liaising with HR leads regarding newly ratified policies and uploading them on their respective websites
- Dealing with Trustee inductions packs
- Attending meetings with the Chair and CEO to discuss Governance matters
- General governance admin
Experience needed:
- Some governance and/or clerking
- Minute taking
- Strong admin skills
- Excellent IT skills in MS Office, Teams and Adobe Acrobat
- School experience is desirable but not essential
