The Role

Our client, a leading and fast growing west end based financial services house is seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the role out of a new software platform and in addition implement a bespoke system to manage and support the back end.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CTO will play a crucial role in shaping the company's technological vision, strategy and execution. This position demands a leader who can drive innovation and ensure the platform's scalability, security and reliability.

Skills/Requirements

  • 5+ years in technology leadership roles, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading technology strategy and execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of software development, architecture and system integration.
  • Excellent project/program management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Experience with cybersecurity best practices and ensuring data privacy and compliance.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's technology strategy to support the business goals and objectives.
  • Lead the design, development and deployment of the platform's technology infrastructure.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance and security of the platform.
  • Oversee the technology budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Build, manage and mentor a high-performing professional technical team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align technology initiatives with business needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements, ensuring the company fosters a culture of innovation.
  • Contribute to the overall product strategy and evolution, driving technological innovation.
  • Manage relationships with external technology partners and vendors.
  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for any technology-related issues on their Cisco implemented systems.
  • Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of technology infrastructure. Contribute to the overall product strategy and evolution, driving technological innovation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial service industry.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies.
  • Proven experience in launching and scaling technology platforms.
  • Proven track record in leading technology teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
