Description
- To be an influencer and champion of change within the Group
- To take an active leadership role in delivering the Transformation programme
- To be accountable to the Change Group for the structured management of IT related programmes, priority setting, and ongoing IT service quality
- Member of the Senior Leadership Group
- To be responsible for setting, monitoring and delivering the approach to data including architecture, engineering and statutory reporting
- To define and deliver an IT product management plan at a commercial and operational level covering business enablement and market alignment, supplier selection and development delivery model
- To lead the delivery of the new Group-wide IT plan and its associated plans ensuring it remains aligned to the Group's business strategy
- To create and set the approach for monitoring and managing the performance of IT-related systems and services, in respect of their contribution to business benefits
- To oversee the delivery of strong technology architecture and design and delivery principles consistent with overall business operating model and strategy
- To ensure that the IT service remains aligned to the needs of the Group, is customer focused in its delivery and adheres to agreed service management processes and service levels
- To manage all financial budgets and targets for IT in order to maximise the return on investment, ensuring there is adequate funding for all IT plans and capacity needs
- To deliver IT services in line with industry leading benchmark costs.
Profile
- Experience of managing B2B or B2C software development and delivery in a fast moving online environment
- Has demonstrable experience in the management of a large-scale IT department (50+ staff) and related services
- Significant demonstrable experience in managing budgets of £10M+, planning and risk assessment
- Strong experience in defining, implementing and enforcing iterative and agile software development process and workflow (preferably using Scrum techniques)
- Evidence of successful implementations across a range of relevant programmes and projects such as enterprise applications, infrastructure refresh, IT restructuring, business transformation, outsourcing.
