We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, coupled with excellent leadership skills. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing environment for children while managing staff and communicating effectively with parents and guardians.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community through outreach and engagement activities.
  • Ensure that all health and safety policies are adhered to, maintaining a clean and safe environment for both children and staff.
  • Monitor children's development through regular assessments and observations, adjusting programmes as necessary to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing a nursery or similar childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working with children in a professional capacity is essential.
  • A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare is preferred but not mandatory.
