Nonstop Care is currently working with a local authority in the South of England who are looking for an experienced Team Manager to join their Children in Care service.

The Through Care Team is a service passionate and striving to achieve the best outcomes for our children we care for.

The Team Manager appointed will spend their time supporting social workers and family engagement workers who are supporting Children in Care who live in fostering, residential or semi-independent homes. They will need to remain focused and open to the children and young people's identity and opportunity reunification home to their families, in addition to preparing young people to independence prior to them becoming care leavers. This rare and exciting opportunity for a full time Team manager will allow any experienced manager or an aspiring manager to utilise their social worker skills and core values whilst they support staff to support children and young people in their plans for permanence and to prepare them for young adulthood.

Requirements:

Applicants are required to have minimum 5 years post qualified social work experience. Candidates will be an experienced Team Manager in Children Services. The role requires excellent understanding and application of the relevant statutory legislation, thresholds, identification and analysis of risk and strengths underpinned by professional curiosity.
