A Nursery located between Clapham & Stockwell is looking for a Room Leader to join the team in their team.

The nursery accomodates for a total of 48 children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years,

The Manager is looking for someone who is warm, caring, kind and passionate about childcare.

This is a FULL TIME permanent position and you will be required to work 35 hours per week therefore please only apply if you can commit to the following:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Shifts between the hours of 730am-6pm

If you meet the following requirements then please apply today:

  • Minimum Level 3 Qualified in Childcare
  • At least 12 months working in an Early Years setting 
  • Experience working with Early Years as a supervisor/room leader
  • Understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding & EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills both written & spoken
  • Experience in distributing staff and resources effectively, maintaining ratios whilst supporting other rooms
  • •Ability to build strong nurturing relationships with the nursery team

You will be required to carry out the following duties:

  • Supporting & leading your team
  • Follow Nurseries policies and procedures
  • Sharing innovative new ideas
  • Ensuring the children's needs are met as well as keeping them safe at all times
  • Carry out observations and planning on key children
  • Communicate with children, staff and parents on a daily basis
  • Understand the importance of learning through play
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and inset training days
  • Undertake or ensure certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, e.g. preparation of snacks, meals and cleansing of equipment
  • To attend parents’ meetings/key group evenings and open days
