A warm and welcoming family in Belgravia is seeking a full-time live-in nanny for their 2-year-old boy, who is full of energy and curiosity. The current nanny has been with the family since his birth, and they are looking for someone to step in as they prepare for her departure on February 4th. The new nanny will have the opportunity to form a strong, long-term bond with the family while helping guide B2 through the next phase of their childhood.This role is ideal for someone fluent in Portuguese, as the family is part Brazilian and values their cultural heritage and seeks someone who can speak the language to help maintain a connection to it. The nanny should also have experience with child development, particularly in the early years, and be knowledgeable about the EYFS framework and potty training. The family places a strong emphasis on setting healthy boundaries and maintaining open communication, and they are looking for someone who will be supportive of their parenting style and help reinforce their rules in a positive, loving way.The role will involve caring for B2 Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM, with occasional evenings for babysitting. While the nanny will sometimes work weekends, the family ensures that time off is given in lieu. The nanny will also occasionally travel with the family, both for short trips and longer stays at their estate in Scotland. At times, the nanny will travel solo with B2, and they should be comfortable with this responsibility.The family's main priority is that the nanny is highly energetic, with a positive attitude and a passion for engaging in fun, educational activities that stimulate B2's development. This includes everything from organising outings to local parks and museums to managing more structured activities, such as swimming lessons once a week. The nanny will also be responsible for preparing simple, healthy meals for B2, ensuring they maintain a balanced diet.B2 will begin nursery in January, attending three days a week, and the nanny will be expected to stay up-to-date on his schedule, and all related duties, including making sure appointments are kept and milestones are tracked. The home is within walking distance of Sloane Square and Victoria Station, providing convenient access to the rest of London.The family's home is a fully staffed household, and the nanny will be provided with their own private living space in the basement, complete with a separate entrance. The starting salary is £48,000 per annum, with opportunities for a pay rise after the probation period and annual reviews.
