Key Responsibilities:

Childcare & Education:
- Provide high-quality care, ensuring children's well-being, safety, and development at all times.
- Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities based on the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback and maintaining accurate records of development.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children and their families, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Health & Safety:
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures, ensuring that the nursery environment is clean, safe, and stimulating.
- Administer first aid as required and report any accidents or concerns in line with nursery policies.

Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other practitioners to deliver a high standard of care and education.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, training, and development activities.

Parental Communication:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and development.
- Encourage parental involvement and maintain open communication regarding children's needs and experiences.

Professional Development:
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education and continuously seek opportunities for professional development.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- Experience working with young children, ideally within a nursery setting.
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work, with the ability to use initiative and work independently as well as part of a team.
- A passion for early childhood education and providing the best possible care for young children.
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Enhanced DBS check required.
