Job description

Job Title:Nursery Nurse/Practitioner

Setting:Day Nursery

Location:Redbridge

Pay:13.00- 15.00per hour

Hours:40 hours per week

Duration:Temp to perm

Start date:ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive in
  • Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 3-5 in a nursery setting
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
  • Monitor and record children's progress and development
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being of each child
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the nursery
  • Follow all health and safety regulations

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding towards children's needs
  • Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors effectively

Note:Relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent are preferred. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
