We are seeking two dedicated Residential Childcare Workers to join our team at a childrenās home based in Ealing, W5. This role involves shift work, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and bank holidays. The position offers a supportive environment where you can make a significant impact on the lives of children in residential care.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide care and support to children and young people in the residential home, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
- Engage children in activities that encourage their social, intellectual, and emotional development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for the children.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Document and report on childrenās progress and any incidents that occur, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding procedures.
- Support children in their daily routines and help them develop life skills.
- Experience in childcare or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong commitment to the care and well-being of children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Candidates without NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) will be required to undertake this qualification within 12 months of employment, subject to terms.
