Part-time role - 15 hours per week
9am - 2pm - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Main Responsibilities
- Report to the Room Leader, Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager.
- To provide one to one support for two children at our nursery setting aged 3 years with a range of SEND. Ensure these children are kept safe while at nursery and all health and safety procedures are followed and risk assessments kept up to date.
- To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables these children to make individual progress.
- To help ensure the nursery meets all OFSTED requirements.
- To work with other professionals colleagues and parents working with these to support these children in meeting targets set for them. To complete individual education plans and work with colleagues to ensure consistent care and strategies are implemented to support these children.
- To plan activities which ensure these children are working towards the early learning outcomes. Strive for Continuous Improvements.
- To ensure all records are properly maintained.
- To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the nursery aims and objectives
- Adhering to the Policies & Procedures the Nursery and compliance with the Children Act, Health and Safety legislation and within the guidelines of Ofsted/CSIW and the National Standards.
- Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Person Spec Required
- NVQ Level 2-3 or above. equivalent qualifications accepted. Foreign Qualifications will need UK ENIC Statement of Comparability.
- Willing to go the extra mile.
- Excellent working knowledge of EYFS Curriculum
- Prior relevant experience working with children with SEND specifically ASD, impaired hearing and physical limitations
