Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Damp & Mould Operative to join our clients reactive repairs team. As a Damp & Mould Operative, you will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and treating damp and mould issues in residential properties. You will work to ensure that properties are kept safe, clean, and dry, carrying out repairs and treatments to prevent further damage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct damp and mould surveys to identify the root causes and areas of concern.
- Apply treatment solutions to resolve damp and mould issues effectively and efficiently.
- Carry out repairs and preventative works, including plastering, sealing, and installing ventilation systems where necessary.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of work completed, including before and after photos, and report any issues or complications.
- Ensure that all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, residents, and other team members to ensure a smooth process.
- Manage time effectively to meet daily or weekly targets and deadlines
- Ensure van, tools, and equipment are kept in good condition.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in damp and mould remediation or a similar trade.
- Strong knowledge of damp and mould identification and treatment methods.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload efficiently.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Full UK driving license (van and fuel card provided).
- Experience with tools and equipment associated with damp and mould works.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week.
Rate of Pay:
- £20 per hour (CIS).
