About Our Client:

Our client is a well-established London Borough Council. They are currently seeking four motivated individuals to join their team as Civil Enforcement Officers. To enforce parking and traffic regulations throughout the borough, ensuring compliance and maintaining public safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce parking and traffic regulations by issuing Penalty Charge Notices and Civil Penalty Notices
  • Identify and report vehicles parked in contravention or abandoned for removal
  • Conduct inspections and checks on blue badges, ensuring compliance and identifying misuse or expired badges
  • Provide security advice and support to blue badge holders
  • Authorise and assist in the removal of vehicles when necessary
  • Report equipment issues and other service-related matters requiring investigation or action
  • Carry out patrols on foot, bicycle, or motorised two-wheeler to enforce parking regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of enforcement activity and unpaid penalty charges
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to parking-related inquiries

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

  • Knowledge of parking legislation
  • Basic computer skills, including accurate data entry
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the radio
  • General standard of education

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Civil Enforcement Officer
  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Clear handwriting and the ability to compose concise and accurate reports
  • Ability to walk outside for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
  • Competent at riding a moped/motorcycle or willing to learn
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the UK
