About the Role

My client is seeking a highly skilled Smart Buildings Commissioning Engineer to join their Major Projects team operating across London and the Southeast. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile BMS (Building Management Systems) projects to a range of clients, using the latest technologies across diverse sectors including commercial offices, healthcare, and data centres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commissioning: Perform commissioning activities for BMS and Control Systems as defined by the Project Manager.
  • Software and Graphics Development: Create bespoke software strategies and engineering graphics to meet project specifications.
  • Technical Checks: Conduct physical wiring inspections and system start-ups to ensure compliance and functionality.
  • Support: Provide technical support to other trades and subcontractors as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve system defects, ensuring timely delivery of projects.

Essential Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in commissioning BMS and Control Systems, particularly Siemens PX and Trend IQ4 controls.
  • Software & Graphics: Strong capability in developing software strategies and engineering custom graphics.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication and reporting abilities to foster strong relationships with internal teams and customers.
