Salary: Up to 45k (dependant on experience)

Our partner has experienced rapid growth over the past three years, with ambitious plans to triple headcount and expand office locations over the next 3-5 years. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Building Physics Consultant during an exciting and transformative phase for the business.

Role Overview:
As a Building Physics Consultant, you will play a vital role in the commitment to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Your expertise will ensure that buildings not only comply with the latest regulations but also contribute positively to their surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building Physics Analysis: Conduct detailed simulations and analyses, including thermal modelling, energy performance assessments, and daylight analysis.
  • Whole Life Carbon Assessment (WLCA): Evaluate the carbon footprint of buildings across their life cycle, from material extraction to demolition.
  • Sustainable Design Consultancy: Advise on strategies for passive design, low-energy systems, and the integration of renewable energy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects meet relevant sustainability standards such as BREEAM, LEED, and WELL.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their sustainability objectives and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to high-quality standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to collective expertise and innovation.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in building physics or a related field.
  • Proficiency in IES and delivering compliance modelling.
  • A strong consultancy background with a focus on project delivery.
  • Extensive experience in Part L compliance.
