As an Electrical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of residential electrical installations. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical installations on residential projects, ensuring all works are carried out to specification and within regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage project schedules, resources, and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Oversee procurement and delivery of materials and equipment, ensuring all items are on-site when needed.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical regulations.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, RFIs (Request for Information), and change orders.
- Resolve technical issues and provide leadership to on-site teams, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring they meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, with a strong background in residential electrical installations.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A strong understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- A relevant electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, etc.).
- Valid Gold ECS card (black card preferred).
- SSSTS (SMSTS preferred).
- Previous experience with high-end residential projects is an advantage
