I am currently looking for 2 dedicated Building Services Fabric Technicians to oversee the fabric maintenance and repairs for a portfolio of my client's commercial buildings across London. As a core part of the facilities team, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and minor refurbishment of building fabric to ensure each property remains safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing for occupants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabric Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on internal and external building fabric, including repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows.
  • Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Carry out planned maintenance to prevent deterioration, focusing on areas such as carpentry, painting, plastering, tiling, and general upkeep.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct repairs and maintenance following strict health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with building regulations.
  • Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to reactive issues, diagnosing and resolving fabric issues quickly to minimize disruption.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring efficient coordination of more specialized repairs or refurbishments.
  • Record Keeping: Document all work completed, ensuring maintenance logs and reports are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • Experience in fabric maintenance within commercial environments (e.g., office buildings, retail).
  • Technical skills in general building maintenance: carpentry, painting, plastering, tiling, and minor plumbing.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
