  • Our client, a well-established road management organization, is seeking a Highway Maintenance/Roads Manager to oversee the management of highway asset maintenance and improvements in accordance with DBFO requirements.

Our client an very well established road management organisation is now looking for a Highway maintenance/Roads manager to join their team.

To assist in management of the highway assets maintenance on day-to-day basis and over their lifecycle including their improvements in accordance with DBFO requirements in liaison with tunnels, structures and AME teams

To assist in supporting of the team facilitating growth of well-functioning and productive environment encouraging individual development

To assist in providing technical leadership and guidance facilitating the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for complex highway schemes

To assist in collaboration with stakeholders, including local authorities, contractors, and consultants, to ensure that the maintenance jobs and projects are delivered efficiently on time and within budget

The Role

    • Assisting in management of all highways operations and maintenance activities as required by the DBFO Company.
    • Assisting in proactive management of all operatives and contractors to ensure projects are completed to time and estimated costs.
    • Assisting in compliance monitoring within set budget, industry standards and H&S regulations as required.
    • Assisting in development of acapable 'cando’ working culture to support a well- functioning and productive environment for the team
    • Assisting in management of performance which encourages teams and individual growth including ensuring training provision, recruitment and succession planning as required
    • Assisting in implementation of changes to improve the processes and procedures adding value to the business
    • Assisting in maintenance of an annual works programme compliant with the DBFO contract requirements including delivery of all required surveys
    • Management of day-to-day delivery works of day and night-time crews including traffic management arrangements
    • Ensuring that works orders are raise on asset management system and works are delivered within the intervention time-scales as per the contract
    • Assists in management of the administrative tasks, records and registers are maintained on regular basis including response to complaints, abnormal loads, insurance claims and other enquiries.
    • Liaison with the Deputy Road Manager and Operations Manger and their team to initiate and progress day-to-day works programme, assess work progress, and resolve work problems including ones of an administrative nature
