Our client is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves the detailed design and implementation of traffic schemes to enhance transportation networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing traffic schemes to improve road safety and efficiency
- Carrying out detailed design work for traffic and highway projects
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Conducting site assessments to gather data and inform design decisions
- Preparing technical reports, analysis, and recommendations for traffic projects
- Ensuring adherence to relevant traffic and highway regulations and standards
- Managing project timelines and budgets effectively
- Providing technical support and guidance to junior team members
Job Requirements:
- Experience in traffic and highway engineering
- Strong understanding of traffic scheme design and detailed design principles
- Proficiency in relevant design software and tools
- Ability to conduct thorough site assessments and analyse data
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
