Carriera have partnered with a true leader in Construction consultancy who are looking for a Junior CDM/PD Advisor, based out of their London office , our client offer services such as project management, cost consultancy and client-side programme and development management and have an extensive and intimate knowledge of public sector housing.

The Junior CDM advisors role will be to assist the Principal Designer to carry out duties in accordance with the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015, working with with a multi displinary construction consultancy. 

This role would suit a determined individual who has recently passed thier NEBOSH qualification in the last couple of years and are ready to take the next step to increase exposure and learning in an energetic enviroment with highly skilled CDM/Principal designers. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Identifying and managing design related risks.
  • Obtain and collate the Pre-Construction Information Pack.
  • Communicating effectively with contractors, designers and clients by means of Design Team Meetings and Risk Workshops.
  • Reviewing and monitoring designers’ compliance.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage the pre-construction phase of
  • projects.
  • Ensuring designers comply with CDM.
  • Providing information to contractors to manage health and safety throughout construction phase.
  • Undertake interim Health & Safety inspections and review site records.
  • Review Contractor’s Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan.
  • Update/review and delivery of Health & Safety File to the Client.

The Person:

  • A general knowledge of CDM Regulations.
  • Understanding of implementing Health & Safety procedures and
  • guidelines.
  • A general understanding of Health & Safety within the construction industry.
  • Working towards TechIOSH / APS Membership.
  • Working towards a professional qualification in designing, building
  • surveying or building services discipline.
  • Continual professional development (CPD) would be encouraged.
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety is preferred.
