Lead Engineer needed in West London Paying £243.09 per day Ref 005256

Full time time on a temporary basis

Role Purpose: Oversee engineering and project management for Section 106, Section 278, and private works programs. Manage delivery of highways public realm improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor individual project budgets for the Capital Programme (between £1 and £5 million annually) and produce regular update reports.

  • Assess contractor claims, review external funding streams, and produce monthly monitoring reports for senior management.

  • Serve as the lead officer for individual projects, liaising with senior management, elected members, and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including Highways Act 1980, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2014, Road Traffic Regulations 1984, Flood Water Management Act 2010, and Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

  • Manage staff and contractors delivering projects, monitoring productivity, performance, and resource allocation.

  • Oversee contractors and consultants in the delivery of capital project schemes, including public engagement and consultation.
