We are currently looking for a Lead Project Engineer - Highways and Infrastructure Delivery. You will be working in Hammersmith.

Monday - Friday

09:00am - 17:00pm

Temp Contract

Day rate - £285.36 per day via umbrella

Job Purpose

To be responsible for the engineering and project management required to deliver the Capital Project programme service

Main Duties

  • To be responsible for the engineering and project management to deliverSection 106, Section 278, and all private works programme and along with colleagues,manage the delivery of a range of highways public realm improvement initiatives.
  • To effectively manage, monitor individual project budgets for the Capital Programme inexcess of between £1 and £5 million a year and produce regular update reports.
  • To assess all contractor claims, reviewing external funding streams and producing monthlymonitoring reports for the Assistant Director and Finance.
  • To be the lead officer in respect of individual projects in liaison with both the Senior ServiceManager for Projects, Cabinet Members, and other Councillors on capital project delivery.
  • To ensure everything is compliant with current legislation relevant to the Team’s serviceincluding codes of practices, Highways Act 1980, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991,Traffic Management Act 2014, Road Traffic Regulations 1984, Flood Water Management Act2010 and Town and Country Planning Act 1990 including required codes of practice andstatutory instruments where applicable to the role.
