Mechanical Project Engineer - We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our clients team and contribute to the successful delivery of commercial fit-out projectin London. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the mechanical aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
- Implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Review and approve mechanical design drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
- Provide technical support to the construction team.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality.
- Resolve technical issues and coordinate with subcontractors.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures.
- Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and submit accurate project reports and forecasts.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with clients to address their needs and concerns.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing commercial fit-out projects, including Cat A and Cat B fit-outs.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Chartered Engineer status (preferred).
