An excellent opportunity to join a privately owned company who have been trading successfully in the building services sector for over 25 years. During this time, they have established a solid reputation within the air conditioning and building services space. These services include AC, ventilation, BMS, heating and thermal insulation predominantly within commercial offices across D&B and CAT A/B fit out.

The position is for a Mechanical Project Manager with previous experience in CAT A/CAT B commercial office fit-out. This specific project is a CAT B in central London with a project value of 1.3m and is due to start on site imminently.

The successful Mechanical Project Manager will need to:

  • Be responsible for designing the programme and delivering it in a timely manner
  • Manage the Procurement process, from sourcing materials, negotiating contracts and evaluating vendor proposals
  • Manage the finances and variation accounts, health and safety as well as providing a snag free delivery
  • Be client facing and as such be comfortable with client liaison/being the main point of contact
  • Ensure successful handover with final accounts and that all O&Ms are completed
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in managing sub-contractors and their delivery

To be considered you will need to have come from a mechanical background witha strong management style, ability to form effective working relationships both externally and internally, be an excellent communicator, a problem-solver and an all-round good leader. Please note that whilst previous UK experience in commercial office fit-out projects is advantageous, strong candidates with more varied project experience will also be considered.
