Mechanical Project Manager Opportunity - Healthcare Project - Lewisham

We are very proud to be working with a medium sized, growing M&E Contractor who have a big presence in the commercial, life sciences and healthcare market who are looking to engage with an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a healthcare project in Lewisham. They have a turnover of 80m as a group, are picking up a lot of work and are attracting high level talent from other contractors.

You will initially be tasked with joining a major infrastructure development with MEP valued at 20m on a flagship hospital scheme. This project is expected to run for another 2 years and the company in question have a big order book of upcoming work,

Responsibilities:

  • Solidify & build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers;
  • Manage project deliveries;
  • Billing;
  • Scheduling;
  • Managing the submittal and closeout process;
  • Project coordination including RFIs and coordination drawings;
  • Manpower control;
  • Manage and successfully close construction contracts within the gross margins established by management;
  • Coordinate manpower as required with other projects in the company;
  • Budgeting and cost control;
  • Develops and delivers project related client presentations;
  • Proactively pursues additional knowledge in related disciplines by attending available in house and external training;
  • Actively participates in meetings, initiatives, and projects that support studio and firm-wide goals;
  • Meets technical, contractual, schedule, budgetary and client service objectives for each project;
  • May periodically act as QC reviewer on projects.
