The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting for an experienced Pipelay Analysis Engineer to join our client, who are an established Global Leader in EPC services for the Offshore Energy Sector.

What your role will look like:

  • Be involved in the general installation of pipeline, umbilical and flexible systems.
  • Provide support to the Offshore Business Unit activities of the business, in terms of advanced and non-conventional structural analyses and numerical simulations.
  • Develop new criteria, new methodologies and new components to be applied for the design and installation of subsea field development and sealines system

Tasks:

  • Act as Project Specialist (PS) and Project Specialist Leader (PSL) for Structures and Sealines Advanced Study in relation to Design Engineering Activities:
  • Develop in a totally autonomous way the assigned jobs, with an adequate level of quality and in due time
  • Develop in a totally autonomous way the relationships with the internal and external Clients, with reference to the assigned job
  • Write comprehensive and top-quality industry-standard technical reports
  • Participate in meetings with clients
  • Perform Department activities under the guidance of the department head:
  • Contribute to updating and improving the department tools for predicting pipeline structural integrity
  • Contribute to maintaining the department excellence
  • Write Working Instructions
  • Contribute to the definition, implementation and improvement of the department quality system
  • Contribute to the standardization and definition of procedures for the department and coordinate the software validation
  • Maintain the process of Lesson Learning

What do you need to succeed?

  • Understanding of installation and constructability aspects of pipeline, umbilical and flexible systems.
  • Degree qualified in civil, structural, mechanical or aeronautical discipline.
  • Previous experience in Pipelay engineering.
  • Working knowledge of Orca flex software
