Our client, is currently seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their dedicated team in Bermondsey. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in leading drainage and infrastructure projects across various sectors including residential, landscape, national trust, public realm, and industrial ventures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing drainage and infrastructure projects from concept to completion
- Utilising Microdrainage and Civil3D software to develop efficient and innovative solutions
- Overseeing the design and implementation of SuDS and retrofitting projects
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes
- Engaging with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Ensuring all project work complies with relevant codes and standards
- Preparing and presenting detailed technical reports and proposals
Job Requirements:
- Strong experience in civil engineering with a focus on drainage and infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in Microdrainage and Civil3D software
- In-depth understanding of SuDS, highway, and civil engineering principles
- Excellent project management and leadership abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
