Our client is one of the world’s most profitable and admired management consultancies. Their London based civil & structural forensic investigations division has an abundance of work and are expanding their operations. Their workload has an international focus, typically related to ports & harbours, rail, energy, highways, bridges, industrial facilities and buildings. As the "Principal Structural Expert" you will use your structural engineering, lateral thinking and deductive reasoning abilities to identify the root cause of failures, and in some cases may be called upon to present expert witness statements.

Your Profile: A chartered civil (MICE) or structural (MIStructE) engineer with a consulting engineering background. You will need to be an engineer first and foremost, and have proven technical ability. This is a role for an individual with a high degree of natural curiosity who enjoys solving problems and thinking laterally. Experience of complex superstructures design, survey / investigation that provides some breadth of project type is preferred, as is some previous involvement assisting with witness statements. Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial to this position.
