Salary:

What You'll Be Doing:
The Project Sales Engineer position is an exciting new role where you'll be developing all-new business and managing a pipeline of projects within the M25 area. You'll be building relationships with installers, contractors and estimators who are running small-to-medium commercial office, retail and construction projects. The sales process can often be long-haul and last some time, so you'll need to be proactive and strategic in your approach and build a healthy pipeline alongside the one you'll inherit, doing a lot of legwork, visiting contractors estimating departments and following projects through. You'll be very much winning business based on relationships, working closely with the Project Manager to secure orders, then it is delivered engineering-wise by the Project Team. You'll have a clear line of sight on all parts of the sale.

This is a relatively junior role in the grand scheme of things, but with time and experience you will move up the ladder and be rewarded both emotionally and financially. This is the first in a series of new hires coming to this team, so being first in offers the opportunity to build an exciting career.

The Patch:
London and Greater London - all points inside (and possibly around) the M25.

Product Overview:
Connection Technology, Electrical Installation solutions, and Interface Technology systems and products: Cable Systems, Installation Systems (indoor and outdoor), Room Automation, Distribution Boxes, Plug & Play Wiring Solutions, Modular Wiring Systems, and various ancillary products too.

This Role Would Suit:
- Those with 2+ years of technical sales experience in a similar role, selling similar products.
- Those who understand how installers, contractors and estimators work.
- People with experience of the products previously mentioned.
- Those who want to develop new business (this is not a milk round).
- Someone with a background selling underground busbar etc.
- Those with modular wiring experience.
- A professional, motivated individual whoenjoys being rewardedwell for their hard work.

Must Have:
- A knowledge and experience of how to develop sales in theinstaller, contractor and estimator markets (in relevant projects).
- Electrical project experience (both in sales and on the tools).
- Afearless approach to sales knocking on doors, getting in front of potential customers etc. It's all-important.
- An understanding of, or ability to develop an expertise of modular wiring concepts (so you can discuss the concept convincingly with installers/contractors it seems simple but there is more to it than meets the eye).
- Some electrical experience, but knowledge of BS7671 as a minimum.

Nice to have / strong preference:
- A technical / engineering qualification within a electrical discipline (experience is as important though).
- 5+ years technical / project sales experience.
