Our client is now looking for a Senior Engineer, who will report directly to the Engineering Manager on site. They will be accountable for the completion of work, including ensuring that the work is completed in a quality and timely manner. They will provide support in relation to all maintenance tasks and projects being undertaken, including day to day breakdown, PPM, equipment updates, new installations, and building/infrastructure upgrades.

Your Mission
  • To ensure that the company’s vision, values and policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Support the engineering team with hands on experience to mentor team ensuing that PPMs, SSOWs and working procedures are followed.
  • To ensure that the company’s vision, values and policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Support the Engineering Manager/team to ensure compliance with regulations for fire and alarm systems, PAT, pressure valves, etc., analysing the results and ensuring corrective action is implemented to continuously improve the working environment.
  • Support the Engineering Manager to ensure risk assessments/COSSH/RIDDOR, etc. are implemented and undertaken and accident prevention measures are initiated as required.
  • Support the Engineering Manager with the planning, organising and coordinating resources to meet production requirements of ongoing maintenance and unplanned issues.
  • Support the Engineering Manager to plan and direct operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment as per production requirements.
  • Work with approved suppliers to obtain parts and machinery.
  • Support the Engineering Manager to deliver training to engineers and operators on new machinery, using the machinery documentation and SSOWs.

  • IT literate (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to motivate people, with a coaching style that builds effective teams and manages performance positively.
  • Able to work autonomously and drive change.

Experience:

  • Proven experience of industrial maintenance or production.
  • Operational maintenance experience (hands on) would be preferred.
  • 2 years Team leader experience or CMI level 3 (desirable)
  • Educated in relevant engineering field.
  • NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
  • Experience in applying and implementing LEAN manufacturing systems (desirable).
