I am working with a specialist consultancies highways engineering design team to find a Senior Highway Technician that wants to join a social, busy, modern consultancy in Central London.
You'd be joining a team of over 45 in the London office and working on detailed designs of highway alignments, junctions and road adoptions. You'd be using CAD daily with te regular requirement of Civil 3D.
This consultancy offers much more than great projects, they run a yearly trip to Europe, hybrid working out of a brand new loft office, regular socials and a modern relaxed way of working.
Senior Highway Technician Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing highway design solutions for our clients in the private and public sectors
- Produce transport, highway and civil engineering infrastructure design drawings
- Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks to budget and programme
- Preparing reports, drawings, schedules, cost estimates and other documents
Senior Highways Technician requirements
- Highway design with experience of applying DMRB, Manual for Streets and Local Authority standards and design guidance
- Production of drawings in AutoCAD
- Preparation horizontal/vertical alignment design, ground models and cut/fill analysis using Civil 3D
- AutoTrack, PDS Sign and PDS Line (or similar software) would be beneficial
- Preparation of drawings for S106/S278/S38 highway and adoption agreements
- Ideally, this will be based on your HNC or HND in Construction in the Built Environment (Civil Engineering) or equivalent relevant experience.
