Container Maintenance & Repair Coordinator
- Process Maintenance & Repair estimates and supervise container repairs.
- Establish the most appropriate action concerning containers deemed to be beyond economic repair.
- Monitor overdue containers
- Forward all claim notifications and documentsÂ
- Collect and preserve locally available evidenceÂ
- Appoint surveyors to attend cargo examinations
- Receive and process invoices from surveyors.
- Retrieve relevant reefer container download data
- Liaise closely with the Equipment Department to determine container requirements and prioritize repairs accordingly.
- Inspect damaged and leased containers in depot as required
- Determine 3rd party responsibility for damage and contamination
- Familiar with Bill of Lading
- Supervise method of repairs; maintaining quality and accuracy, pre-inspection and post repairs
- Provide lashing material & GENSET tracking and maintenance
