The Container Maintenance & Repair Coordinator is responsible for processing maintenance and repair estimates while supervising container repairs.
This role requires monitoring overdue containers and forwarding all claim notifications and documents, as well as collecting and preserving locally available evidence.
The coordinator will appoint surveyors for cargo examinations and process invoices from them, while also retrieving relevant reefer container download data.
Liaising with the Equipment Department is essential to determine container requirements and prioritize repairs, along with inspecting damaged and leased containers in the depot.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year.

Container Maintenance & Repair Coordinator

Process Maintenance & Repair estimates and supervise container repairs.
Establish the most appropriate action concerning containers deemed to be beyond economic repair.
Monitor overdue containers
Forward all claim notifications and documents
Collect and preserve locally available evidence
Appoint surveyors to attend cargo examinations
Receive and process invoices from surveyors.
Retrieve relevant reefer container download data
Liaise closely with the Equipment Department to determine container requirements and prioritize repairs accordingly.
Inspect damaged and leased containers in depot as required
Determine 3rd party responsibility for damage and contamination
Familiar with Bill of Lading
Supervise method of repairs; maintaining quality and accuracy, pre-inspection and post repairs
Provide lashing material & GENSET tracking and maintenance
