Site Engineer / Manager, North London
Turner Lovell is partnering with a specialist civil engineering contractor to source a Site Engineer or Site Manager to oversee an important project in North London which begin at the end of January. This is a growing business which is very successful within their niche providing their services to Renewable Energy projects across the UK.
This role will be accountable across several key areas:
- Managing sites and contractors in line with client contracts; managing successful day to day relationships with clients to ensure a good working environment, clear communication, and offering expertise when advising on site.
- Successful delivery of client contracts ensuring cost efficiency, through the effective management of labour, plant and materials and on time delivery of reports / projects
- Ensuring on site adherence to H&S standards, ensuring toolbox talks are delivered and all H&S paperwork is completed weekly; taking a lead role in supporting the H&S calendar of events ensuring near misses and good catches are reported weekly, audits are carried out on site monthly and monthly H&S focus is driven at all times when on site.
- Ensuring setting out and levels are carried out accurately when required; and accurate records are kept for day to day tasks and works completed.
- Ensuring accurate reporting of findings in all investigations carried out for the client, ensuring reports are prepared and uploaded to agreed targets where applicable.
- Leading those on site through clear daily communication, giving clear direction and listening to the ideas and feedback from the team.
