We are assisting our client, who are a creative, award-winning structure-led but multi-disciplinary design consultancy based in the heart of East London – a short walk from Aldgate. They are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Structural Engineer to join their talented team.

You will have the opportunity to work on a large variety of interesting projects – from designing stages at some of the biggest music festivals in the world, to £80m residential buildings, to TV and film sets, to new school buildings. You will be given the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects that will really help enhance your portfolio as you pursue chartership.

This is a design-led, architecturally driven practice where creative thinking is actively encouraged. Our client applies existing knowledge in new ways, that explore lateral solutions to find unusual answers.

What You Need To Succeed

  • At least two years post-graduate experience working for a UK based design consultancy.
  • A keen learner that is wanting to improve their engineering skills.
  • The successful candidate shall have excellent communication skills who is motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Attend site visits as and when required.
  • Has experience in working with steel, masonry and timber structures.
  • Knowledgeable in structural software including Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds and AutoCAD.
  • Able to work under pressure with initiative and creativity.
  • Be willing to learn and adapt.
  • Working towards chartership with IStructE or ICE.
  • MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
