Technical Project Manager (Retail)

£540/day (Inside IR35) | 3-month contract | Hybrid (3 days office) | London | Immediate Start


McCabe and Baton are working with a Leading retail client who are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee a critical API modernization program. The role focuses on transitioning from legacy middleware that currently handles 80% of API traffic to a new solution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical transition strategy from legacy middleware
  • Coordinate across product teams to ensure smooth implementation
  • Manage dependencies and risks across multiple workstreams
  • Drive efficiency through OKR framework
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels


Required Experience:

  • Strong technical delivery background
  • Proven experience with API technologies and middleware
  • Track record of successful agile project delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced retail/e-commerce environments


Technical Skills:

  • Agile/Scrum methodologies
