Job Title: SC Cleared - VMware & Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Location: United Kingdom (Remote - However onsite for the odd meeting)
Day Rate: 500 - 600 per day (Inside IR35)
Job Type: Nine Month Contract
I am looking for a VMware & Azure Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and optimise a secure virtual environment. The role involves VMware infrastructure support, backup reconfiguration, Azure assessment, and network security improvements.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
- Maintain and document VMware infrastructure (physical servers, Mellanox switches, QSAN, FortiGate, Tape Library).
- Optimise Atempo backup solutions (cloud & tape library).
- Manage Windows Domain (AD/DNS, MS SQL Server, virtual firewalls) in an isolated network.
- Configure FortiGate firewall clustering and enhance ExpressRoute cloud backup.
- Assess and improve Azure infrastructure with a strategic report.
- Support Athena, Fabric & Databricks (if implemented).
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Strong VMware, backup solutions, and Windows Server experience.
- Expertise in FortiGate, F5 firewalls, and networking.
- Azure infrastructure management and cloud optimisation.
- SC clearance required.
- VMware (VCP, VCAP), Azure (AZ-104, AZ-305), Fortinet NSE certifications.
