Associate Building Surveyor

Associate Building Surveyor needed ASAP, salary between £55,000 to £70,000 dependent on experience! Your new companyHays is working with a leading professional service and investment management firm specialising in real estate in over 80 countries. They are looking for an Associate Building Surveyor to join their established team! You will be working on a range of occupier clients, including multinational corporates to tech starts-ups.Your new role

• Providing the coordination and delivery of large portfolios of Reinstatement Cost Assessments
• Undertaking Building Surveyor's inspections and preparing reports
• Preparing specifications for, and administering, repair and refurbishment contracts
• Preparing and negotiating schedules of dilapidations/preparing exit strategies
• Preparing planned preventative maintenance plans
• Undertaking building reinstatement cost assessments
• Assisting with co-ordination of portfolio instructions and undertaking other duties from time to time as may be reasonably required
• Making sustainable business links with both external and internal clients and offering a professional and excellent client service at all times
• This role will also involve business development and direct client contact at a senior level.

What you'll need to succeed

• Required to have the ability to work within a team and on your own initiative
• Must be enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated
• Must have strong verbal and numerical skills, and be comfortable with report writing
• Requires excellent time management and general organisational skills
• Is required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure
• Must be well presented and have excellent communication skills
• MRICS (building surveying) with proven experience, preferably PQE in a commercial consultancy
• Experience of AutoCAD is an advantage
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
