Associate Building Surveyor

We are currently looking for an Associate Chartered Building Surveying to fill a permanent opening with a company located in central London. Interested candidates must have a range of project focused experience and at least 5 years PQE. You will have the opportunity to work across a number of high profile public and private sector clients.

You will need experience of managing and mentoring junior members of staff along with key client account management for high profile projects.

Responsibilities of the Associate Chartered Building Surveying:

  • Advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
  • Undertaking building surveys.
  • Monitoring the deterioration or defects of a property and offering advice on repair work.
  • Deliver projects from inception to completion to meet the projects objectives.
  • Negotiating the repair of work or a financial settlement if required.
  • Managing projects and/or multidisciplinary teams
  • To diligently handle all instructions and to maintain comprehensive records for all work undertaken.
  • Ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Experience of client management and development

Requirements of the Associate Chartered Building Surveying:

  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • At least 5 years post qualification experience with provable technical delivery experience
  • Able to work as part of a multi disciplinary team to deliver a project.
  • Significant exposure to, and good working relations with private sector clients
  • A track record of generating opportunities and winning new work.

The salary for this position ranges from 70,000 to 80,000 depending on experience.
