A prominent UK consultancy is seeking a motivated Associate Building Surveyor to lead on high-profile projects across education, commercial, industrial, and office sectors within their London office.



The Associate Building Surveyor's Role

As an Associate Building Surveyor, you will take on a leadership role, managing projects from inception to completion, mentoring junior team members, and delivering a wide range of professional and project-related services. You will play a key part in driving business growth, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing project delivery, including contract administration and refurbishment schemes.
  • Conducting building surveys, defect diagnosis, and condition reports.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior surveyors through their APC.
  • Building and nurturing client relationships while identifying business opportunities.
  • Contributing to strategic team growth and operational efficiency.


The Ideal Associate Building Surveyor will have

  • Qualifications: MRICS qualification is essential, with a degree in Building Surveying or related discipline.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in consultancy, managing both professional and project services.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Skills: Strong client-facing abilities, exceptional communication skills, and business development acumen.
  • Attitude: Proactive, commercially minded, and dedicated to excellence.
