A leading multi-discipline property and construction consultancy is seeking an experienced and ambitious Associate Fire Engineer to join their team.

The Associate Fire Engineers' Role
As a Associate Fire Engineer, you will take the lead on managing diverse projects, from residential developments to rail transportation and new energy facilities.
You'll deliver compliant fire safety solutions, support junior team members, and play a key role in fostering client relationships and securing new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple fire engineering projects from inception to delivery.
- Develop fire strategies, assess fire-related risks, and collaborate on risk mitigation.
- Review and comment on fire safety installations, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports, attend design team meetings, and liaise with clients.
- Support project delivery by tracking milestones, budgets, and evolving requirements.
- Stay updated on fire safety regulations and legislation.
- Lead tenders for new work and foster strong client relationships to generate opportunities.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, acting as a technical reviewer for project submissions.
The Ideal Associate Fire Engineer Will Have
- Degree in Fire Engineering or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are highly desirable
- Experience in fire engineering, including consultancy and non-consultancy roles
- Strong knowledge of multiple fire standards (e.g., BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545)
- Proven experience in delivering successful fire strategies
- Fire modelling experience is an advantage
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status in fire engineering
- Flexible and proactive approach to work, with a willingness to travel when required
- Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused mindset
