Building Surveyor
Location: North London
Salary: 41.90 per hour umbrella

A North London Local Authority is currently seeking an Interim Building Surveyor to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in inspecting buildings, diagnosing defects, and ensuring the necessary remedial actions are taken. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to make a significant impact and contribute to the well-being of the local community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct building inspections as necessary to diagnose the cause of building defects.
  • Raise work orders using the National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates or specifications as appropriate.
  • Provide recommendations for remedial action to address building defects.
  • Utilise your surveying or construction-related qualifications to carry out your duties effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and proactive skills in managing your own calendar and caseload.
  • While social housing surveying experience is beneficial, it is not essential.
  • Ability to produce specifications of works using a schedule of rates.
  • Possess a good understanding of damp, mould, and condensation issues.
  • Access to pool vehicles will be provided to fulfil job responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • A surveying or construction-related qualification.
