Job description

On behalf of a social housing client, Fraser Edwards are currently recruiting a Senior Building Surveyor for a permanent contract role, covering the London Area.

This Role is purely office based.

The Senior Building Surveyor role will include:

  • Social housing maintenance repairs and planned works surveys, damp, subsidence, structural inspections in occupied and void properties.
  • Managing and leading a team of surveyors, undertaking day-to-day works.
  • Surveying pre and post works.
  • Complete and deliver technical reports directly to internal teams and contractors.
  • Present updates and progress reports to Directors, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with management and support staff throughout the surveying process.
  • Ensure the appropriate production and application of procurement schedules to maximise financial and operational benefits.
  • Working closely with the Directors, you will be a key influencer in decision making.
  • Develop relationships with colleagues and mentor them in growing their skills in support of growth targets.
  • You will have profit and loss decision making responsibilities.

Candidates Must Have:

  • Social housing maintenance and repairs surveying experience
  • Experience of managing a team of surveyors
  • Health and Safety legislation knowledge
  • Surveying qualification or experience
  • Technical knowledge of a wide range of housing stock
  • Extensive Knowledge of Building Maintenance and diagnostic techniques
