BUILDING SURVEYOR NEEDED!

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join my client, a Global Loss Adjusters.

You will be working closely with the Senior leadership team, leading numerous projects to reinstate commercial properties following damage by an insured peril. Projects typically range in value from £50k to £5m. Dependent on the size and complexity of each project you may work alone or lead a small project team working with QSs, Engineers and Architects.

You will be working within a varied team which includes Chartered Building Surveyors, Technicians and RIBA Architects.

Participating in a wide range of surveying activities, ranging from:

  • Technical reporting
  • Defects diagnosis
  • Preparing Schedule of Works
  • Tender documents
  • Contract administration
  • Project management,

You will have/will be:

  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor or suitably experienced and working towards becoming Chartered.
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Extensive knowledge of building construction and relevant legislation
  • Able to plan projects to ensure robust control of time, cost and quality
  • Able to proactively manage your own caseload
  • The ability to arrive on site immediately following a significant building loss and quickly earn the confidence and trust of the insurance policy holder is essential to the success of this role.
  • Composure under pressure, excellent communications skills and empathy are therefore key attributes.
